European Great Danes and puppies

Welcome to our site!

We are originally from Europe, so all our dogs are from Europe as well. We try to breed type to type. American fawn and harlequin lines are of great interest so quite possible we might try those as well.
Breeding European Danes in the US according to European breeding principles and practices is extremely hard. It is impossible to own so many studs to provide variety. And it is very complicated trying to find decent dogs out of dozens of mediocre imports. And it is even harder to find a decent stud that is health tested whose stud fee costs less than a trip to Europe + breeding to a champion. And it is even harder to deal with some of the stud owners. Because of all this, our breeding program is very limited. We substitute it periodically with imports.

Our pups are of high quality, they are home raised, and are very friendly and social. We are very picky about where our pups go. Companion homes are always high on the priority list. We try to stay away from dealing with breeders and breeding rights. Once the dog is sold on a full registration, there is no control over how it is bred and it might get re-sold later on.

European and American danes differ greatly. Most European danes are imported to be bred. Most American danes are bred to be shown. Traditionally European danes are more massive, have a considerably stronger bone structure and much larger head with a deeper lip. They are shorter, more compact and bulky. American danes are more elegant, agile, taller, have better angulation, longer necks, longer heads. If you are looking for the height, go with an American bred dane. If you are looking for the mass and the head, go with a European dane.

A well-bred dane cannot and should not cost less than $1500. What you get is what you pay.

We do not support breeding unless it supports the main breeding goal: to better and improve. There is no improvement if there is no selection of dogs involved in the breeding process, if dogs are bred to the same dogs over and over again - this is backyard and puppymill breeding principle. There is no betterment if dogs aren't shown. I would also feel suspicious if colors are mixed, all parents are always on the premises, litter combinations are repeated year after year, there is no hip screening, dogs are offered with full registrations.

We sell puppies when they are vaccinated, dewormed and vet checked.

Weekends are for buyers picking up puppies only. If you would like to come and greet and see if this is the right place for you, we have flexible afternoon hours Monday through Friday only.

Our best references are our veterinarians. For more info check out our Feedback page.

Our dogs live all over the United States, in Mexico and Canada.
